Weather-related closings
In the event of severe weather, please check ParentSquare, or tune into local television and radio stations for school closing information. The TV stations are generally notified by 6:30am in the event of weather-related closing.

For weather-related closings, parent/teacher communications, and emergency information , Merkel ISD has selected ParentSquare as our preferred communication platform.
ParentSquare can send out email, text messages, or communications via the app. The app is available in your app store.
