There have been several inquiries on social media regarding concerns about school closures for sanitization, and I want to ensure you understand our methodology.
While we have seen a slight decline in attendance due to seasonal illnesses, the drop has not been significant enough to warrant closing our doors for additional sanitization measures.
One of the primary reasons we have been able to maintain operations is our proactive approach to cleanliness and illness prevention. Our custodial team uses a daily disinfectant on all surfaces, ensuring a thorough and consistent level of sanitation throughout the school day. In addition, we have recently incorporated an additional disinfection into our evening cleaning routine, applying it to all surfaces for added protection.
Furthermore, each classroom and office is well-stocked with Lysol wipes, allowing staff to regularly disinfect high-touch areas and stay ahead of the spread of illness. These preventative measures have played a crucial role in minimizing the impact of flu and other seasonal viruses within our school community.
We continue to monitor attendance and illness trends closely, and should the situation change, we will take appropriate action to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff.
