Taylor County Health Department. All immunizations - appointment only.
They are open Monday through Friday, 9-11:45 AM and 1-4 PM.
They are also offering extended hours for immunizations on Thursday, July 25th and Monday, August 5th.
If your child is going into kindergarten, going into 7th grade or not up-to-date on immunizations, please call the health department 325-692-5600 or your child's primary care doctor for an appointment.
If you want your child to have vaccine exemptions, please see Merkel ISD --> Health Services --> Immunizations/Vaccines --> Immunization Exemptions (Can take up to 3 weeks to receive from state)
All immunizations and exemption affidavits must be up-to-date and current prior to starting school.

In addition to ONLINE REGISTRATION you will need to follow these instructions to complete the HEALTH REGISTRATION FORMS! If you need assistance the Office Staff will be back in the office July 25th.
Follow the instructions below to complete your student's Health Registration Form.
All Health Registration Forms require a signature and verification. We will be using Dropbox Sign for a digital signature.
IMPORTANT: You MUST complete a separate form for EACH one of your students! If you have 2 students on the same campus then you must complete it twice. EACH CAMPUS has a DIFFERENT form link. So be sure and click on the CORRECT Campus Link for each student!
The back page allows us to provide over-the-counter medication based on your preferences.
We will still call for permission to give ibuprofen, acetaminophen or Benadryl.

Step 3: Go to your email and Open the email from Dropbox Sign and click Review Document
Step 4: Complete the Form with Signature
Step 5: Click the Blue Continue Button in the top right corner
Step 6: Review the Document and click I Agree
Step 7: You are complete. If you have another student on the same campus, you will need to complete another form
Step 8: Complete the Health Registration form for any of your students on other campuses

I am thrilled to announce some exciting changes in our school's leadership team! Pending board approval on Wednesday evening, Renee will take on the role of Elementary Principal, previously held by Daniel. Renee's dedication and experience make her an excellent fit for guiding our youngest learners and leading the elementary school.
Rocky will be stepping into the position of High School Principal. With his experience and understanding of high school education, I am confident that Rocky will excel in this new role and foster an environment of excellence.
These transitions have created a vacancy in the High School Assistant Principal position, a critical role for our continued success. We are working diligently to fill it as soon as possible. Embracing our "Grow Your Own" philosophy, we strongly encourage internal candidates with the appropriate credentials and experience to apply. If credential requirements are an issue, we are open to appointing a Dean of Students as an alternative.

While the outcome of the bond initiative may not have aligned with our collective hopes, it is essential to recognize the importance of community engagement and the value of diverse opinions.
